I had some scraps of wood lying around in my shed and wanted to try and find something to make with them and came up with these ideas. This post is not a tutorial, these were projects that I made before I started making tutorials. The clock below was build using scraps of wood that I had lying around at home.

I came up with the design by moving all the scraps of wood I had around until I found a look I was happy with. I screwed all the wood together and used a nail gun to attach the small pieces on the front. I covered all the wood with Lion fabric and added a thin layer of epoxy resin that I painted on with a paint brush. I did it this way to seal the fabric first. I lightly sanded the epoxy and added a second layer. The clock mechanisms were bought off Amazon. I used a wood router to hollow out a section at the back to add the clock mechanism. This photo does not do this clock justice. A Similar Design to the one at the top, it worked out so good I made a plain one. I bought the design for the front from a budget store. It was one that you just hung on your wall.
My Family Clock was an idea I came up with after seeing a clock on someone’s wall with hands pointing to a photo frame. I did try that but mine did not look good so I came up with this idea. I cut the circle and added a vinyl decal to the wood and them added a stain to the areas that did not have any decal. The wood stain ate into the decal and it peeled off but it left an outline of the words which looked great. If you want to do this with a decal seal the stain with polyurethane first. I used a hole saw to cut out the outer circles first and then I cut the inner circles. I picked the photos that I wanted and laminated them and glued them to the board and added the frame.
This clock was another one made from scraps. I screwed all the corners together and added some decorative studs. I dangled the clock face using chains and hooks. The face on this clock was also one you buy that I added to my wood.
I made this clock from the front of a broken drawer. I just sanded down the wood and routered out a section for the mechanism and added the numbers.
This clock was an offcut of a log. I thinned it out using a thickness plainer until I was happy with the look, I stained the wood and using oil to polish the wood.
Clock made from Buddha Canvas. Another project you might like if my notice board made from scrap wood.
