I have been trying to make the final photos of my DIY projects more appealing to the eye. To do this I have been making some props to go with my photos. A while ago I decorated some books in a steampunk style to enhance my photos. And I have recently been asked how I made them. I saw this fireworks light bulb when I was on the internet one day and I thought it looked great so I ordered one. Once it arrived I could not wait to put it in my lamp but I was so disappointed because the effects were lost once the lampshade was put back on. So I wanted to try and make a wooden block lamp with no lampshade so you could see the effects of the lightbulb.
Not to long ago, I made my Husband a Headphone stand for his gaming headphones so they can be stored safely when not being used. It turned out great but I wanted to try and make another one for me. I wanted mine to have flashing LED lights which can be plugged into your computer. The lights can be switch on and off by remote control.
I was given this wooden stand, and I’m not too sure what it is. My guess is a plant stand, but I could be wrong. It was so solid and heavy that I wanted to try and make something useful out of it. Candlesticks were the only thing I could come up with. They would not be the same size and shape, but I think that would be half the charm. And who does not love candlesticks in their home?
