It is time for our next international blogger challenge (IBC) and the topic this month is “Felted fixation”. I chose to make a steampunk nutcracker. The challenge is to create a project using felt in any way shape or form. More about (IBC) at the bottom of this post.
It is time again for this months international blogger Challenge (IBC). This months topic is “beads galore”, our challenge is to create a project using beads in any way we wish. I chose to make a beaded wall hanging. This should have been a simple challenge but everything that could go wrong did. More about IBC at the bottom of this post.
I was cleaning out my kitchen cupboards the other day and came across this old teapot. It was purchased about 20 years ago at a car boot sale for £1 when I lived in the UK. Why I bought it I have no idea because I never drink tea. I hated the idea of throwing it away so I thought I would upcycle it into a steampunk-themed teapot.
I don’t think this project will be a big surprise to people who follow my blog. Because I have been steampunk mad all this year, a steampunk Christmas tree was inevitable. The idea came from a comment on one of my other steampunk projects. A lady said it would be interesting to see what I come up with for Christmas and she was hoping it was a Christmas tree. I saw that as a challenge and after some thought this was what I came up with.
I always like to joke that I love wine and that they don’t make a glass big enough for me. So a few years back my friends bought me two of theses 1-litre wine glasses as a joke gift. The funny thing was the glasses were too big and heavy for me to hold, so they got pushed to the back of the cupboard. So with Halloween coming up, I thought I would upcycle them into A Halloween skull goblet that can be used a decoration on the table.
With Halloween coming around soon, it is time to start doing some Halloween decorations. Because it is only one day people want to keep their crafts quick and easy. And this project is just that. Another good thing about this method is, after Halloween, you can soak off the designs and paint and your glasses are back to normal.
If you want to add a bit of colour and fun to your dog’s collar this post is for you. Our kids are all grown up and have flown the coup so our cute little Jack Russels have become the next victims for my craft projects. This month the topic for the Int’l Bloggers Club was “Flannel”. I made my dogs these cute Flannel dog bandannas using an old flannel shirt.
